Post-DP and university programme
Deciding which path to embark on after school is an exciting prospect but can also be extremely daunting. This is why ISB has a dedicated counsellor who offers students a guidance programme that facilitates the decision making process concerning university and career choices after the Diploma Programme. The programme includes support in exploring different options after leaving school, including, but not limited to, university options.
What we offer:
- We guide students and parents in choosing the right combination of Diploma subjects to follow future aspirations and the right path after ISB;
- We offer a wide range of sessions following an internationally renowned guidance programme;
- We use an online platform to make the process smooth and fun for students;
- We organise in-person and online university fairs and workshops on a wide range of topics to which students can register and participate;
- We offer individual, personalised support when needed (key deadlines, subjects and country requirements, emotional support, etc.).

University entry information
IB students follow a course of study with a global reputation for academic excellence, and universities throughout the world recognise the IB Diploma as an entrance qualification to higher education degree courses.
- In some countries, such as the United States and Canada, the IB Diploma qualifies students for advanced placement or academic credits.
- Students with the IB Diploma are accepted at a higher rate than those with other qualifications at selective universities.
- In general, universities prefer the IB Diploma for entrance over other qualifications.
- Some universities may require entry tests, depending on the degree chosen and the subjects taken in the IB Diploma.
- Some countries have specific requirements about the subject combinations and the HL/SL subject level required to access certain courses.
